I travel to those pockets in the world where I can reside with tribal people who ‘live close to the earth.’ I arrive, open and without judgment, because the people I encounter see the world differently than us, with our view often disrupted by concrete and skyscrapers. Commonly, I find the understanding of tribal cultures not only broadens our own appreciation of the connections in everything alive, but also introduces an element of awe, transforming the ordinary into Magic, and life into a journey of passion. Those experiences are the foundation of my artwork.
